Giancarlo Fisichella
Giancarlo Fisichella (Formula 1 driver) has been an experienced and successful formula 1 driver and has won 3 races in his entire career. He has joined several teams in the F1 racing and has performed well with each of them.
Introduction of Giancarlo Fisichella
He is a racing driver from Italy and as far as his career in F1 racing is concerned, he has already driven for Renault, Benetton, Minardi, Jordan and Sauber. Currently, he is driving for the team Force India. Till now, he has won 3 races, the first out of which was at 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix race. However, the race was abandoned with 15 laps still remaining, he was declared the winner. He replaced Jarno Trulli for Renault in 2005 and won the first race with it. Because of the tough competition given by Alonso, he has managed to win one more race after that. Apart from driving the race car, he also runs a GP2 team of his own, known as FMS International.
F1 career of Giancarlo Fisichella
He made his debut in F1 racing in the year 1996 by joining the Minardi team, however he was replaced soon by Giovanni Lavaggi. He joined Jordan in 1997 with which he gained the first podium finish of his at 1997 Canadian Grand Prix. He was about to win at Hockenheim also but because of a puncture, he was laid back in the race. Although Benetton could not achieve 1st rank in the Belgian Brand Prix due to rain, he was successful in convincing Benetton team to sign him for them. With this team, he scored first pole position for himself in Austria. Despite his good performance with the Benetton team, he re-joined the Jordan team in 2002. At this time, he won the race of the Brazilian Grand Prix and his first Formula 1 victory. Unhappy with the performance of Jordan team, Giancarlo Fisichella (Formula 1 driver) joined the Sauber team in 2004 which supplied re-badged engines to the racers. 2005 season
Although he performed so well initially, bad luck started following him and it became popular that he cannot match the pace of Alonso, an F1 competitor. Although the first half of 2006 was similar, some good results came during the second half in the form of 4th position in World Drivers’ Championship, one victory and 5 podium finishes. He ranked third in 2006 Japanese Grand Prix and dedicated this victory to Tonino Visciani, his friend who died recently before the race. In the year 2007, Giancarlo became the lead driver of Renault.
Unfortunately, Fisichella got disqualified from the race of Canadian Grand Prix for crossing the red light. In the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix, he crashed into Anthony Davidson’s Super Aguri and was forced to retire as a consequence.

In the 2008 season, Fisichella was announced to be the best racer for the Force India team and he continued his position in the team for 2009 also. The new Force India team has been powered by Mercedes Benz engines and Fisichella qualified on the 18th position at the 2009 curtain opener in Australia.
