FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX (Sakhir)

The Bahrain Grand Prix is a Formula One Championship race which first took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on 4 April 2004. The inaugural race was given the award for the ‘Best Organised Grand Prix’ by the FIA.

FORMULA 1 QANTAS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Melbourne)

The Australian Grand Prix is a Formula One race that is part of the annual Formula One championship season. It is held at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit at Albert Park in Melbourne. The event was held annually since 1928 at various venues in Australia, before it became part of the Formula One championship in 1985. The race was held at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide from 1985 to 1995, before moving to Melbourne in 1996.

FORMULA 1 PETRONAS MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX (Kuala Lumpur)

First included in the Formula One World Championship in 1999, the current Malaysian Grand Prix is held at the hyper-modern Sepang International Circuit at Sepang, Malaysia.

FORMULA 1 CHINESE GRAND PRIX (Shanghai)

The Chinese Grand Prix is a round of the Formula One World Championship, held towards the end of the season in October. It is currently held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, designed by Hermann Tilke. It is the most expensive Formula One circuit facility, costing $ 240 million.

The Spanish Grand Prix is a Formula One race currently held at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, as part of the annual Formula One championship season.

FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO (Monte Carlo)

The Monaco Grand Prix is a Formula One race held each year on the Circuit de Monaco. Run since 1929, it is widely considered to be one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

FORMULA 1 TURKISH GRAND PRIX (Istanbul)

The Turkish Grand Prix is a Formula One motor race that debuted on August 21, 2005 as part of the 2005 Formula One season. It is held at the newly built Istanbul Park Circuit, constructed by famous German civil engineer Hermann Tilke. The circuit is only the third anti-clockwise circuit on the Formula One calendar after the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy and the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Brazil.

FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA (Montreal)

The Canadian Grand Prix is an auto race held in Canada since 1961. It has been part of the Formula One World Championship since 1967. It was first staged at Mosport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario as a sports car event before it alternated between Mosport and Circuit Mont-Tremblant, Quebec after Formula One took over the event. After 1971 safety concerns lead to the Grand Prix moving permanently to Mosport. FORMULA 1 TELEFÓNICA GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE (Valencia)

The European Grand Prix is a separate Formula One event that was reintroduced during the mid-1980s and has been held regularly since 1999. From it will take place for at least another 7 years. In earlier years, one of the national Grands Prix was also designated as the European Grand Prix.

FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (Silverstone)

The British Grand Prix is a race in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is currently held at the Silverstone Circuit near the village of Silverstone in Northamptonshire. The British and Italian Grands Prix are the oldest continuously staged Formula One world championship Grands Prix.

FORMULA 1 MAGYAR NAGYDIJ (Budapest)

The first Hungarian Grand Prix was held on June 21, 1936 over a 3.1-mile (5.0 km) track laid out in Népliget, a park in Budapest. The Mercedes-Benz, Auto Union, and Ferrari teams all sent three cars and the event drew a very large crowd. However, politics and the ensuing war meant the end of Grand Prix motor racing in the country for fifty years.

The Belgian Grand Prix is an automobile race, part of the Formula One World Championship. The first national race of Belgium was held in 1925 at the Spa region’s race course, an area of the country that had been associated with motor sport since the very early years of racing before the turn of the century. FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO SANTANDER D’ITALIA (Monza)

The Italian Grand Prix is one of the longest running events on the motor racing calendar. The first Italian Grand Prix motor racing championship took place on September 4, 1921 at Brescia. However, the race is more closely associated with the course at Monza, which was built in 1922 in time for that year’s race, and has been the location for most of the races over the years.

FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX (Singapore)

The Singapore Grand Prix is a Formula One race set to stage its inaugural event on 28 September. To be staged in the Marina Bay area of Singapore, the circuit has been given in-principle approval by the FIA, Fomula One’s governing body. The first Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore will also be Formula One’s first night race.

The Japanese Grand Prix is a race in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is one of the most-loved F1 events of the season, due to the exciting and challenging layout of Suzuka Circuit which hosted many races in the past, and because of its traditional place at the end of the schedule which means that this event has seen a great number of Championship crowns being won and lost.

The Brazilian Grand Prix is a Formula One championship race which occurs at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Interlagos, Brazil.

FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX (Yas Marina Circuit)

2009 is a year of firsts for the United Arab Emirates! Not only are they hosting the inaugural Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this year, but Yas Marina Circuit is also the newest motorsports venue in the world. Designed by renowned circuit architect Hermann Tilke, Yas Marina has a waterfront setting scenic enough to rival the likes of Monaco and Valencia. Yas Marina Circuit is the only motorsports venue in the world where all of the grandstands are covered.

FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE

On 29 March 2007 it was announced by the FFSA, the race promoter, that the 2008 French Grand Prix was put on an indefinite “pause”. This suspension was due to the financial situation of the circuit, known to be disliked by many in F1 due to the circuit’s location. In 2010, there will also be no French Grand Prix, but the Paul Ricard Circuit has candidated itself for 2011.
