Ferrari

Ferrari stands for passion. Ferrari stands for technology. And Ferrari stands for style, which is bound to catch your eye. It is probably the oldest team on the Grand Prix Motor Racing circuit, and of course, it is extremely well known, and much loved! It has thousands of fans all over the world. So what makes Ferrari such a favorite? What makes millions of people all over the world celebrate when Ferrari is successful? Well, answering that is difficult. On one level, Ferrari is just another F1 team, but there is a certain something to them which makes people love them more than other teams, a certain something which has endeared them to fans all over this wide world.

Ferrari Cars

Ferrari is known for its beautiful, sleek and stylish cars. Perhaps this one of the major reasons why so many people like this team. Some people say that after the 1996 car (F310), the models have gone down in standard, but leaving all that apart, Ferrari still manages to produce cars that look as great, if not better, than the other cars on the grid.

How Enzo Ferrari Started

The founder of the team, Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898, in Modena Italy, into an affluent family. They had a car when Enzo was still pretty young, cars were very rare then, and perhaps this is what built his passion for motor racing. When Enzo was 10 years old, his brother Dino took him to watch a race in Bologna, and that sparked the passion even more. He knew he wanted to drive, but he did not ask for the help of his rich family. World War One was finished by then, and Ferrari tried Fiat, to give him a job, and failed. However, he did manage to make some friend within that company in Turin, and later, he got a job as a handyman – he had to service old army vehicles, do them up, and then sell them. In some time, he got a job with the CMN car company, and in 1919, he was able to compete in his very first motor race, in one of the company’s cars. The race was a hill climb in Parma. Of course, he was talented, so his performance was pretty good, and he was able to enter into Targa Florio, which was one of the classic Italian road races. After that, he drove an Isotta-Fraschini for some time, and then got a new and expensive Alfa Romeo sports car, and some time after that, he was able to join the team from FIAT, by convincing Sivocco.
