Live Valencian MotoGP
The Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event held in Spain that is part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It is held at the Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana. The track was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and Spanish Motorcycle Championships in the same year. It is named after Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo.
The Cheste track has several layouts, running anticlockwise with varying lengths. MotoGP events are held on a 4km track comprising of five right handed corners, eight left handers and a 650m straight. The Circuit de Valencia has a capacity of 120,000 spectators and seating for 60,000. The circuit layout helps to create a unique atmosphere enjoyed by Spanish and international riders alike and as the last race of the season there is sure to be a party feeling to the Grand Prix this year.
The 2007 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix was the last round of the 2007 MotoGP championship. It took place on the weekend of 2nd – 2th 2007 at the Circuit de Valencia. In the MotoGP class Dani Pedrosa took 2nd in the championship by a single point from Valentino Rossi, while John Hopkins overhauled Marco Melandri to take 4th. In the 125cc class Gábor Talmácsi finished second behind teammate Héctor Faubel, which meant the Hungarian became the world champion of 2007.
