2011 Season

The Valencian MotoGP will see a huge effort from both Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo to win their home GP. There will also be a big challenge from Casey Stoner who has won at the circuit in the past whilst Valentino Rossi will seek to continue his return to winning ways with a big push in the last race of the season.

Overview

The Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana is a relatively small track but racing can attract up to 150,000 spectators. The circuit is 4.005 km in length and includes 14 corners and an 876 m straight. The lap record is held by Valentino Rossi, who set a time of 1:31:002 in 2006.

History

The Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana was built in 1999 and immediately hosted a number of high profile motor racing events including the MotoGP race. The circuit is extremely popular with both riders and the spectators and the course was voted the best GP of 2005 by the IRTA.

2010

Jorge Lorenzo picks up victory in front of a noisy and excitable Spanish crowd to claim his ninth victory of the season and celebrate his World Championship title in style.

2009

Dani Pedrosa claims his second victory at the circuit with a strong performance.

2004

Valentino Rossi wins the race with a solid charge despite the best efforts of Max Biaggi who finishes in a close second place.
